Common questions

What is Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0?

A Visa framework for reason code 10.4 disputes. If you can show the cardholder completed prior undisputed transactions on the same card with matching identifiers, liability can shift to the issuer before the dispute reaches arbitration.

Do you guarantee I’ll win disputes?

No. ProofBack determines whether a dispute meets the CE 3.0 criteria and assembles the evidence in the format reviewers expect. The decision rests with the issuing bank and the payment network.

Why does the packet sometimes say “unverified”?

Because it is. Without a carrier tracking integration, the only delivery evidence is what your own store recorded — and stating that as confirmed delivery would be a false claim in a document filed with a bank. Connect a tracking provider and confirmed deliveries are labelled as such.

Is the packet submitted automatically?

Not yet. You review each packet and file it through your processor. Automatic submission is on the roadmap.

What data do you access?

Orders, fulfilments, customers and disputes — only what the evidence requires. We never see card numbers. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
